Description of Course Details: 1. Homework and Assignments: (1) Individual Assignment (30%)  IA1-IA2: Please submit your assignments before 1:00 pm on 3/5 and 3/15, respectively. No format requirements for the submission.  IA3: Please prepare a schedule and research plan (i.e., regarding the search keywords and databases) for your meta-analysis project. Remember to upload the assignment before 1:00 PM 4/10 to E3.  IA4: Please prepare your coding sheet and upload it to the E3 before 1:00 PM 4/23.  IA5: Please prepare the coding results (including at least 5 studies) and upload the assignment before 1:00 PM 4/30.  Late submission will result in a deduction from your project scores (10% for each day). Therefore, remember to upload your project to E3 before the deadline.  NO PLAGIARISM! Any kind of academic dishonesty (e.g., plagiarism) will automatically lead to a failing grade.  I encourage you to discuss about the assignments with your classmates. However, each student needs to work on his/her assignments individually. Copying each other’s works is also considered as a type of plagiarism and will also lead to a failing grade. (2) Individual Project (50%) Each student is required to choose a research topic of interest. Please confirm with the instructor (via email: chenyy@nycu.edu.tw) about your choice of a topic before 1:00 PM on 3/20. Please upload the word file and data files to E3 before 1:00 PM on 5/28. 2. Exams and Quizzes: No 3. Evaluation and Grading Policy: Individual Assignment (30%); Final Report (50%); Impression & Participation (20%). 4. Pedagogy and other supplementary information (websites, TAs, handouts and/or databases): Course handouts will be provided.
