Overview As a communicator, you face many challenges of persuasion: How should you advertise your ideas and/or products? This course will introduce you to the core concepts of persuasion. You will first develop a basic understanding of the key theories and empirical findings on this topic. Then, you will learn how to use persuasion techniques to nudge people to agree with you and do what you want them to do. Finally, you will get opportunities to practice and apply the acquired knowledge in group projects and individual assignments. Learning Objectives At the end of this course, you should be able to: 1. Identify and describe the concepts of persuasion and influence; 2. Analyze problems of persuasion and influence and critically assess existing solutions; 3. Apply concepts of persuasion and influence to real-world problems
