碩士班書報討論-生物資訊組

本課程採實體授課,本學期開始將分兩組上課 A組授課老師: 陸志豪、林勇欣、何信瑩; Room 310 B組授課老師: 李宗夷、林峻宇、陳亭妏; Room 311 2/17 10:00 開始上課 ***2/24將公布博士班報告順序,第一週報告者請於2/28前將所挑選的期刊論文寄給各組授課老師進行審核是否合適於課堂上報告,3/3將公布碩士班報告順序(開學加退選結束後)*** 請選擇一篇論文報告,可與自己研究相關或無關。若與自己研究相關,可同時介紹自己的研究並與此篇論文做比較與討論。報告時間約20分鐘,討論問題約10分鐘。 1.限挑選發表在四年內(2022-2025)的期刊論文,以英文報告。 2.報告之期刊論文以“計算”類相關的期刊論文報告,論文主題需挑選與「生物資訊」或與「生物醫學」類相關的論文報告。 3.限挑選「非自己實驗室」 發表的論文報告,指導教授實驗室發表論文可供參考與討論。 4.所挑選的期刊論文需於2週前寄給各組授課老師進行審核是否合適於課堂上報告 (逾期寄送論文將於C項出席分數中扣分)。 5.上傳所挑選之論文至E3上討論區的 "article for presentation"。 6.論文報告前先以2分鐘中文概述論文內容(外籍生可免)。 This course will be conducted in person, and starting from this semester, the class will be divided into two groups. Group A: 陸志豪、林勇欣、何信瑩; Room 310 Group B: 李宗夷、林峻宇、陳亭妏; Room 311 First class: 2/17 10:00 am ***The presentation order for Ph.D. students will be announced on 2/24. Those scheduled to present in the first week must send the journal articles they have selected to all instructors of their respective groups by 2/28 for review to determine their suitability for the class presentation. The presentation order for Master's students will be announced on 3/3, after the course registration and add/drop period has ended.*** Please select an article, it can rather be related or unrelated to your own research. If it is related to your own research, you can also introduce and compare the article with your own research. The time for the presentation is about 20 minutes, and the discussion section will be 10 minutes. The chosen articles should meet the following criteria: 1. Published within four years (2021-2024) and in the English language written. 2. The Journal of the article should belong to the category of " computational biology", and the topic of the article itself should be related to "Bioinformatics" or "Biomedicine". 3. The selected article shall not be published from your own laboratory, but the papers published by your advisor can be added to the discussion. 4. The article should be sent to all instructors of their respective groups 2 weeks before your presentation for review to determine its suitability for the class report. Failure to send the article on time will result in a deduction of points from the attendance grade (score "C"). 5. Upload the selected article to "article for presentation" in forum on E3. 6. Before your presentation, please summarize the article in Chinese for 2 minutes (foreign students are not included).

修課同學間須互相評分,自己報告時亦須自評。每堂課每位同學須 1. 對報告同學評分(請針對"報告同學的表現"評分) 2. 填寫對該演講評語,對演講的評語分為兩部分,一個是針對"報告同學的表現",一個是針對"報告的論文本身"。每位同學在報告後會收到其他同學給的評語回饋,同學可以參考聽眾的回饋更精進自己的報告。 Students shall evaluate others and your own score after each presentation. All students should 1. Give a score to the performance of each speaker. 2. Fill in the comment for the presentation. The comments should be divided into two parts, the first part is for "the performance of the speaker" and the second part is for "the chosen article itself". After the report, each student will receive feedback from other students. Students can refer to the feedback from the audience to refine their presentation. 計分方式: 任兩位同學,對所有人所評之分數,會計算相關係數。對所有人所評之分數,會計算相關係數。 與大多數人相關係數低的同學,其所打的成績剃除後,剩餘同學所打的成績計算平均成績,為成績A。 每位同學,為所有人所打的成績,再與此平均成績計算相關係數,此相關係數*100為成績B。 每次上課皆須實體紙本簽到,授課教師會不定期點名;同學若無事先請假並獲同意、點名未到者,皆視為缺席。對每位報告者所給的評語,將視為出席認真聽課之評分依據,評語無法顯示認真聽講者將視同缺席該次上課,該次上課不給分,此分數計算為C。 老師評分為成績D。 期末成績為 [註1-3]:0.3*A + 0.15*B + 0.15*C + 0.4*D + 上課提問分數 註1:造假者視同作弊,期末總分以0分計算。 註2:同學們需用心聆聽他人報告,感受他人報告的各項優缺點,並揣摩一般普遍所認知優秀的報告應具備哪些條件特點,才有機會得到較好的B及C成績。 註3:若同學報告表現不佳,經授課教師要求重新報告,將另行安排該同學重新進行報告。 Grading system: The correlation coefficient for the scores will be calculated between every two students and among all the students. After the score with a low correlation coefficient being removed, the average of the remaining scores will be devoted to "A". The correlation coefficient of all given scores from each student will be calculated with this average. This correlation coefficient *100 will be devoted to "B". Attendance will require signing in with a physical paper record each class, and the instructor will conduct random roll calls. Students who fail to attend roll calls without prior approval or permission will be marked as absent. Additionally, the comments provided by each student on the presentations will serve as an indicator of active participation and attentive listening. If the comments do not demonstrate genuine engagement with the presentation, the student will be marked as absent for that class session, and no points will be awarded. These points are part of the "class participation" score, categorized under "C." The scores given by professors belong to "D". The final grade [Notes 1-3] = 0.3*A + 0.15*B + 0.15*C + 0.4*D + extra points for asking questions. Note 1: Any act of falsification will be regarded as cheating, and the final grade will be calculated as 0. Note 2: Students should pay attention when others are reporting and figure out the advantages or disadvantages of the presentation for the speaker. Additionally, please try your best to figure out what features a good speaker should have in order to get better scores of "B" and "C". Note 3: If a student's presentation performance is deemed unsatisfactory, and the instructor requests a re-presentation, the student will be scheduled to present again.
