Course Description: This course aims to enable students to define, develop, and promote innovative initiatives on the creation of a new venture. In this course, students will acquire the knowledge and receive the training lead to a successful entrepreneurial process – a process of opportunity recognition, resource marshalling, and team building driven by communication, creativity, and leadership. Especially, the course design is in line with the participation of an international startup business plan competition, which serves as a capstone project to conclude the course. At the end, students will learn not only how to prepare a new start-up but also how to think and act like entrepreneurs in their daily life. Objectives/Goals: Students in this course shall: • Identify new venture opportunities (versus ideas), • Evaluate the viability of a new venture, • Determine customer needs and developing a competitive value proposition, • Understand which skills are necessary for success and building a team that possesses those attributes, and become superior opportunity assessors and shapers. • Understand the integration of people and process in entrepreneurship, • Be able to write, articulate, and present a feasibility study that logically determines whether or not a particular business idea should be pursued, • Have a better understanding of your personal entrepreneurial capacity
Required competence or courses that must be previously taken by students: Financial Accounting, Managerial Statistics, Marketing Management
