Course Description: This course will provide students with an overview of the business planning process and entrepreneurial management. In particular, structured with a blend of theoretical frameworks and hands-on exercises, the course equips students with the planning tools and management skills through various comprehensive cases focusing on leadership and entrepreneurship. Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur or a leader in an existing business aiming for better scalability, this course will be your launchpad to entrepreneurial success. Objectives/Goals: Students in this course shall be able to learn the following: • Ideation: How to filter and refine your business ideas for maximum impact. • Business Modeling: Crafting a sustainable model that aligns with market needs. • Operational Strategy: Streamlining operations to enhance efficiency and productivity. • Market Analysis: Understanding and targeting the right audience. • Financial Planning: Raising, budgeting, forecasting, and securing capital. • Growth Hacking: Techniques to scale your business rapidly and sustainably. • Team Dynamics: Building and nurturing a team that resonates with your startup's vision. • Risk Management: Identifying potential pitfalls and creating mitigation strategies.
Required competence or courses that must be previously taken by students: Financial Accounting, Managerial Statistics, Marketing Management

Assessment: Individual Attendance Participation1 25 % Group Assignments2 40 % Group Case Presentation3 15 % Exam4 20 % 1. The teaching assistant will track class participation every week. You are graded on quality rather than quantity. As a rule of thumb, you will earn 0/20 if you're absent, 10/20 for being present but saying nothing and 20/20 for exceptional performance. * If a student fails to attend the course less than 2/3 of sessions, (s)he will fail the course automatically regardless of scores in other parts. 2. Scores are based on the analysis report and presentation of the assignments of the first two parts, Business Planning Process and Entrepreneurial Financial Planning, and may be further adjusted by the peer evaluation at the end of the semester. 3. Scores are based on the presentation and discussion of the assigned HBS cases and may be further adjusted by the peer evaluation at the end of the semester. 4. An individual exam, including the analysis of mini cases, will be held in the last week.
