The course will cover various research topics related to Human-AI Interaction. These topics may include aspects like human factors, guidelines for designing human-AI interactions, AI user interface design, real-world Human-AI collaboration scenarios, and challenges in using AI, such as explainability and fairness. The primary goal of the course is to explore and delve into the diverse research topics within Human-AI Interaction. By the end of the course, students should have a good understanding of the field and be well-equipped to tackle research projects or further studies in this area. Instead of formal lectures, the course seems to prioritize discussion and active participation. Students will be given reading assignments related to the topics, and they are expected to read and prepare these materials for discussion during class. The course will culminate in a final research project proposal. This suggests that students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and explore a specific research question or area within the field of Human-AI Interaction.
None. You do not need to have a strong Machine learning or Artificial Intelligence background to take this class. The course encourages students who are interested in pursuing research or writing a thesis related to Human-AI Interaction to take the course.
