概述

放射物理學是物理學領域一個快速發展的專業,它涉及放射物理學的基礎知識 和醫學應用,主要但不局限於游離輻射應用於人類疾病的診斷和治療。現代放 射物理學的研究吸引了更廣泛的專業人員,包括生物醫學成像,醫學物理學, 核醫學和放射腫瘤學的學生,醫師和技術人員。這些專業人員在物理和數學方 面具有不同的背景知識,但是他們都有共同的需要,即藉由放射物理學的認識 和理解,以提高他們對掌握游離輻射在疾病診斷和治療上的應用。 Radiation physics is a rapidly growing specialty of physics, concerned with the basics of radiation physics and applications to medicine, mainly but not exclusively in the application of ionizing radiation to diagnosis and treatment of human disease. Studies of modern radiation physics attract a much broader base of professionals, including students, physicians, and technicians in biomedical imaging, medical physics, nuclear medicine, and radiation oncology. These professionals have diverse background knowledge of physics and mathematics, but they all have a common need to improve their knowledge and understanding of the radiation physical concepts that govern the application of ionizing radiation in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
