本課程是歷年於牙醫學系開設並頗受好評之「行為實驗設計與文獻整合分析」課程,特為生物科技與工程領域同學開設的應用性質課程。有別於大部分側重臨床實驗設計與文獻整合分析等方法理論的課程,本課程特別側重使用生成式AI工具探索研究主題與設計實驗。 教學目標: 1. 認識以生成式AI為基礎的學術文獻搜尋與整合工具並熟悉使用方式。 2. 認識傳統臨床文獻搜尋與實驗設計的基本概念 3. 區辨使用生成式AI協助文獻搜尋與研究設計之時機與限制 This course is tailored for students in the fields of biotechnology and engineering, based on the highly acclaimed course "Behavioral Experiment Design and Literature Integration Analysis" taught in the Department of Dentistry. While most courses with a similar topic focus on clinical research design and methodology of systematic review, this course will emphasize the use of generative AI tools to explore research topics and design research. Teaching objectives 1. Learn the major AI-based tools for academic literature search and how to use them. 2. Learn the basic concepts of clinical literature search and experimental design. 3. Identify the pros and cons as well as limitations of using generative AI to assist in literature search and research design.

1. 每周課程分為討論(兩次)與課堂講授及演練(14次),共計16次上課。 2. 上課講授由教師以slide進行,約50分鐘。接著為學生透過網路演練文獻搜尋,約20分鐘。最後30分鐘為互動分享。 3. 討論部分由教師與學生1對1進行,針對學生個別的研究議題進行互動論。 4. 以上授課內容已英語進行 - 除非學生感到理解困難,教師會視情況以中文討論。 1. The course consists of 16 sessions, including discussions (2 sessions) and lectures (14 sessions) 2. Each lecture will be first delivered by the teacher using slides (50 minutes), followed by a 20-minute online exercise of literature search by students, and finally 30 minutes for sharing among students interactively. 3. The discussion will be done between the teacher and the student one-on-one, focusing on the student's individual research topics. 4. The course is conducted with English Medium Instruction (EMI) —unless students feel difficulties in understanding, in which case the teacher may interact in Chinese as needed.
