The primary objective is to provide students with a basic understanding of the principles of mathematical and statistical modeling, including benchmark dose (BMD) model, probabilistic analysis (mainly Monte Carlo simulation), pharmacokinetics (PK)/toxicokinetics (TK), pharmacodynamics (PD)/toxicodynamics (TD), and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models. Also, to promote students to understand how these models/methods are applied in risk assessment.
1. Class participation and performance (30%) 2. Class exercises (50%) 3. Final exercises (20%)
