This course is designed for graduate students who have little knowledge on biostatistics. Emphases are on basic understanding of biostatistics and its applications in the field of physical therapy research. Though it is designed for beginners of biostatistics, the course also covers some advanced statistical methods which are commonly used in physical therapy research. In addition to the knowledge of statistical methodology, the course puts emphasis on building up practical skill on statistical analysis and interpreting the results. Therefore, the course is organized with a mixture of lectures and computer practice, mainly by using SPSS.

1. Course evaluation includes peer evaluation (10%), participation (20%), mid-term exam (20%), final exam (20%), and final essay (30%). 2. 所有假別(除公假、喪假、急重病或臨時發生緊急、重大不可抗力之變故),其補考後之成績應打9折
