This course is composed of three sections. First, students will first review neurophysiology in the neuromuscular system. Second, students will learn the functional aspect of the neuromuscular system, including motor unit, it’s basic neurophysiology, organization, and how it is controlled to generate muscle forces. Third, students will learn the plasticity in the neuromuscular system, including aging, exercise, fatigue and pathology. Courses will be taught in the format of lectures and journal discussion for classical and recently published articles in the field.
Anatomy and Physiology
1. Students will gain advanced understanding in the neuromuscular system 2. Students will be able to describe the organization and function of the neuromuscular system 3. Students will be able to describe the effects of aging, exercise, fatigue and pathology on the neuromuscular system
1. 30% midterm report, 35% final report, 35% discussion participation 2. 所有假別(除公假、喪假、急重病或臨時發生緊急、重大不可抗力之變故),其補考後之成績應打9折
