1. 目標: 此課程是針對碩士班學生安排的統整課程, 除專業知識講授外, 亦包含生命科學領域新穎技術的介紹, 協助學生銜接基礎與進階知識, 並應用於生命科學領域的研究上。 This course is an integrated course designed for graduate students. It introduces not only basic knowledge but also new techniques in life sciences. It expects to help students link basic and advanced knowledge and apply it to research. 2. 課程概述: 藉由整合生命科學相關的生物化學、分子生物學、細胞學、遺傳學、生理學等基礎知識,以細胞的角度、分子的層次更深入探討下列主題: (1)細胞內基因與基因體的結構及演化; (2)核酸與蛋白質的結構、合成的機制、功能及應用; (3)細胞內能量的生成與代謝反應恆定。 This course introduces life phenomena and the function of the cell at the molecular level. The course integrates general knowledge of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Physiology to explore Life phenomena at molecular and cellular levels and bring advanced knowledge of life sciences to graduate students. The textbook listed below will be used as the primary material for this subject and which contains the following topics: 1. Cells, DNA and chromosomes 2. Genomes and Genome evolution 3. Proteins, structure and enzymes 4. DNA replication, repair and recombination 5. RNA transcription and protein translation 6. Control of gene expression 7. Cell metabolism and cellular homeostatsis
