Course Description: This course delves into the latest trends and future outlooks in the environmental and occupational health sciences field. It encompasses emerging issues, technological advancements, regulatory changes, and innovative approaches to enhancing public health within occupational and environmental contexts. Course Objectives: Upon completing this course, students should be able to: - Analyze current trends and emerging issues in environmental and occupational health. - Evaluate the impact of technological advancements on health and safety. - Understand regulatory frameworks and their development. - Anticipate future challenges and opportunities in the field. - Formulate strategies for addressing forthcoming environmental and occupational health issues

Prerequisites: Basic understanding of environmental science and public health. Previous coursework in environmental health, occupational health, or related fields is beneficial.

Presentation – 60% • Progress report can be in Mandarin or English (for second-year Ph.D. and master’s students). • Paper review must be in English (for first-year Ph.D. and master’s students). • Evaluated by two judges. Q&A – 20% • Each student must ask at least two questions during the semester. Attendance – 20% • A maximum of two pre-approved absences is allowed (request must be submitted before Monday noon). • If absent three times or more, attendance points will be forfeited. • Other situations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
