This course is designed to strengthen and develop students' listening and speaking skills. Through studying various topics and engaging in interactive communication, students will expand their vocabulary related to daily life, including scheduling activities, making phone appointments or reservations, talking about leisure activities and travel plans, describing locations and positions, and understanding transportation terms and their uses. By the end of the course, students will have enhanced their communication abilities and will be better equipped to adapt to life in Taiwan.
Introductory Chinese Conversation I, or an equivalent course.
Course Policy: 1. Students must attend the first week of class. If you are unable to attend due to any reason, please get an approval from the instructor by email before the school starts. 2. Attend classes regularly and on time. 3. Complete assignments on time. Late homework will not be accepted. 4. The lecturer reserves the right to make changes to the course schedule based on the actual progress of the class and other unexpected circumstances.
Evaluation: Attendance: 10% Participation: 20% Assignments: 20% Midterm Exam: 20% Final Exam: 30%
