概述

This course aims to develop students’ academic English writing skills at the B2 level to prepare them for academic writing tasks across disciplines. At least 80% of the course content is related to academic contexts. Students will learn to plan, organize, and write properly structured academic texts. Students will be introduced to common academic writing tasks such as paragraphs, essays, summaries, reports, and research papers. The course will also introduce features of academic writing. By the end of the course, students will learn to: ● understand and apply the features of academic English writing ● write well-organized academic texts ● develop a clear thesis and support it with relevant evidence/examples ● summarize, paraphrase, and integrate information from academic sources ● use appropriate grammar, academic vocabulary, and cohesive devices ● apply proper in-text citations and referencing formats (e.g., APA/MLA) ● revise and proofread academic writing for clarity, accuracy, and coherence
