This course provides an introduction to the chemistry of polymers, focusing on the synthesis, characterization, and properties of polymers. Students will learn about mechanisms of polymerization, the structure-property relationships, and the applications of polymers. By the end of this course, students should be able to: Understand the fundamental principles of polymer chemistry. Explain the different methods of polymerization and the mechanisms involved. Describe the physical and chemical properties of polymers. Analyze the structure-property relationships in polymeric materials. Explore the various applications of polymers in everyday life and industrial processes.
