建立統計思考架構及統計推論基礎 Establish a statistical thinking framework and a basis for statistical inference. The Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) of this class are: 1. Understand the definitions, types, and meanings of data, variable, parameter, and statistic. 2. Calculate descriptive statistics such as mean, median, variances, standard deviation, percentile, etc. 3. Understand the fundamentals of probability and statistics. 4. Recognize and use discrete and continuous probability functions. 5. Implement the principles of sampling distribution and central limit theorem. 6. Develop large-sample estimates based on inferential statistics. 7. Conduct large-sample hypothesis tests on inferential statistics.

教師授課,助教輔導演習,各班授課至少包含以下內容,其他章節範圍視各班授課進度進行補充。 The materials of other chapters are supplemented by each instructor.
1.學期作業、考試、評量 學期作業: 依照進度定期公佈 考試狀況: 二次期中考(本課程第二次期中考為共同統一考試,其餘兩次由各班授課老師自行出題)、一次期末考。小考(由各授課老師決定)。 評量方法: 第一次期中考 20%、第二次期中考(共同統一考試) 30%、期末考 25%、作業20%、課堂參與 5% 評量項目會測試學生是否了解並融會貫通學習目標(ILO)之各項內容。 1. Homework and Assignments: Regularly announced according to schedule. 2. Exams and Quizzes: Two midterms and one final exam (the second midterm is a joint unified examination). Quizzes are designed by each instructor. 3. Evaluation and Grading Policy: The first midterm (20%), the second midterm (30%), the final exam (25%), homework (20%), class participation (5%) The assessment items will evaluate whether students understand and can implement the content based on the Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs).
