The intended learning outcomes of this course are: - Explain the core principles and underlying theories of digital image processing - Describe and analyze fundamental techniques for 2D image processing - Apply the fundamental techniques to real images and evaluate their effects - Design and implement image processing applications by integrating multiple fundamental techniques Course Contents: 1. Background Knowledge (Image Fundamentals, Human Visual System, and Color Science) 2. Image Operators 3. Image Transformations 4. Image Enhancement & Restoration 5. Image Analysis 6. Image Generation 7. Color
Good knowledge of Linear Algebra, Signals & Systems, and Digital Signal Processing Required to program in C/C++ or Python.
Computer Assignment: 50% Final Exam 20% Final Project 30%
