We shall introduce the basic principle of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Spin-spin coupling, followed by spectroscopy analysis and calculation of coupling constants and chemical shifts。Moreover, we shall discuss double resonance experiments and learn how to do structural analysis based on NMR spectroscopy. Relaxation time, one-D experiment using complex pulse sequences, and two-D experiments will also be covered。If time is allowed, we shall also introduce NOE and Dynamic NMR.

The course material is mainly from textbook 1 and partly from textbook 2. The teacher uses E3 website, PowerPoint files, black board writing, and personal notes in his teaching. 採用教科書兩本、E3平台、PowerPoint以及黑板書寫等方法,搭配課程講義。
There will be 3 homework (10% each) with a total of 30% in credits. Midterm exam (30%) and Final exam (35%), Attendance and Attitude (5%). 學期將有3次作業每次10%總共佔30%,期中考佔30%,期末考佔35%,出席及上課態度佔5%。

| 第 12 週 | 本週不上課,老師赴日本岡山出席ISOR-16 會議。Homework 3 (10%). |
