Laser Chemistry is an advanced course examining the fundamental principles and diverse applications of lasers within the field of chemistry. The course investigates the interaction between light and matter, emphasizing the unique properties and capabilities of lasers in driving and analyzing chemical processes. Through a combination of theoretical discussions and practical exercises, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of laser chemistry and its significance across various research and technological domains. Course Objectives: 1. This course is designed for students with a foundational understanding of physical chemistry, organic chemistry, quantum chemistry, and photochemistry. While some familiarity with optics may be beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for this course, as it is understood that not all students in the Applied Chemistry department may have prior experience in this area.
