The objective of this course is to provide a comprehensive framework for innovation and product management. It examines how firms can remain competitive through effective innovation and product development, supported by up-to-date case discussions, along with a rich array of examples and illustrations.
* Only students who attend class during the first week of the semester are eligible to register for this course. * A strong motivation and genuine interest in business strategy and innovation are required.
* Class participation is required and will be graded. * Regular attendance is essential. Students are responsible for requesting permission for any absence prior to class. Absences without valid justification will not be accepted. Attendance will be recorded, and students who miss three or more classes without prior permission will fail the course. * Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. Cheating, including plagiarism, will result in a failing grade. * Talking or sleeping in class is strictly prohibited. * Please turn off your cell phones during class.
1. Final project Several study groups will be formed, with each group selecting a company from the Inc. 5000 list (https://www.inc.com/inc5000). . Each group will introduce their chosen company to the class as if they were representing it and pitching to potential investors. After all group presentations, the class will vote to select the “Most Promising Company,” based on its potential for future success and financial returns. 2. Exams Mid-term + final 3. Grading policy Mid-term 30%; final 30%; group presentation 30%: class-participation 10%
