概述

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is an international program to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation systems through advanced technologies, including electronics, communication, information, and sensors. The objectives of this course are to introduce the concepts, frameworks, theory, applications, latest development and future prospects of ITS. After completing the course, students will be able to: (1) describe the key concepts related to ITS technologies (2) explain traffic phenomenon for traffic management and control (3) apply traffic data and models for traffic and transportation analysis (4) identify the latest development and applications in ITS (5) recognize ITS emerging opportunities and challenges in the future

先修科目

No prerequisites, but some basic knowledge of transportation systems and technology would be helpful.

教學方式

本課程作業及考試得使用生成式 AI 工具,但須註明使用之過程。 Generative AI tools can be used for assignments and exams in this course, but the process of their use must be noted.

評分方式

Grading and evaluation: • 20%: Assignments • 20%: Participation, Discussion, Short presentations • 30%: Midterm exam • 30%: Term project presentation
