1.本課程介紹西方藝術自希臘時期至二十世紀初的發展脈絡,以及個別藝術家和作品。預計透過一系列的學習讓學生認識到西方藝術自歷史記載以來的形式演變和意義轉換過程,使同學了解藝術的基本定義、以及藝術與人類社會密切的關係。 2.本課程亦期待培養學生對於畫作的觀看、解讀、欣賞、審美等能力,尤其西方藝術史上重要的幾件作品。透過此通識教育,學生們能習得基本的作品知識,提升素養。 3.本課程亦可增進學生們在圖像爆炸的時代,更具備「視覺識讀力」(Visual Literacy;有人譯「圖像素養」,但筆者以為不妥),能夠了解畫面背後的淵源、構圖、以及文化和權力的隱含意義等。
講課為主、搭配課堂討論及短影片欣賞。
作業 5%:備齊教科書(第三週檢查,不能共用),需買或借或合法範圍影印。需使用合法來源。 期中考 30%:Open book考試 期末考35%:Open book 考試 討論20%:討論時間開放發言,累積發言構成此占分。 其他10%:不遲到早退、認真聽講等學習態度及平時表現方面。
