概述

This course aims to develop students' ability to use English in a wide range of everyday, non-specialized contexts and to build foundational real-life language use skills to communicate effectively in different environments. Approximately 50% of the course content is related to academic and professional contexts. The aim of this course is to enhance students' speaking fluency, listening comprehension, and ability to communicate effectively in a range of formal and informal situations. Students will participate in a variety of interactive tasks such as presentations, discussions, and role plays to build confidence and competence in spoken English. Listening activities will help students improve comprehension of main ideas and details in authentic materials. By the end of the course, students will learn to: - build vocabulary for speaking and listening - understand and respond to spoken English used in everyday, social, and general academic contexts - express personal ideas, opinions, and experiences clearly and confidently in a variety of general settings - Use essential language skills such as asking for clarification, giving directions, making small talk - participate actively and appropriately in discussions and group interactions

If you do not show up in the first day of class, you will be automatically dropped from the course. English level: CEFR B2 *** Students are required to be prepared with the designed topic before the class and actively communicate with other students using English in each class.
