This course covers various topics from Chinese literature, history & geography, technology, and cultural studies. It is designed to improve students’ reading and oral skills. Regarding reading, this course will aim to enrich students’ vocabulary through continuous reading and practice. Regarding talking, students are expected to express their opinions freely through extensive discussions. Additionally, this course will also enhance students' ability to write summaries.
It would be good if you have taken "Chinese VIII" and above.
a) Students who attend the class during the first week will be given priority in being accepted. b) The whole class will decide on the reading topics for this semester at the beginning of the semester. (Students will choose which topics they are interested in and which articles to focus on.) c) Students need to listen to audio files and do a preview before coming to the class every time. d) Students are encouraged to read relevant articles in their free time and they are requested to have a talk based on that.
