高齡物理治療學

本課程將簡介高齡者之醫療與長期照顧整合照護體系，並涵蓋高齡者常見問題之評估與處置，包括:老年人之運動建議與健康促進、老年人平衡與跌倒議題、老年人之急性混亂(譫妄)、失智與憂鬱問題、老年人之營養與用藥問題、物理治療於社區/居家式之評估與處置，以及物理治療於機構式老人照護之評估與處置等。並將透過高齡物理治療相關主題之期刊選讀報告，讓學生瞭解高齡物理治療學之最新實證與應用趨勢。This course will briefly introduce the integrated medical and long-term care system for the elderly, and will cover the physical therapy assessment and management principles of common problems in the elderly, including:, exercise recommendations and health promotion for the elderly; balance and fall issues for the elderly; delirium, dementia and depression in the older adults; nutrition and pharmacology for the elderly; physical therapy in the community/home-based care model, as well as physical therapy in the institution-based care setting. Moreover, journal article reading of selected topics will be included to inform the best empirical evidence and application in geriatric physical therapy.

1.瞭解高齡者常見臨床課題並熟悉其物理治療評估與處置方式。 2.瞭解高齡者之多重共病特性，能整合運用老人學與成功老化、日常生活功能訓練與輔具運用、神經物理治療學、肌肉骨骼物理治療學，及呼吸循環物理治療學之相關專業知能於高齡個案之評估與處置。 3.瞭解高齡照護跨專業團隊特性。 4.瞭解高齡者於急之性醫療體系、社區/居家或長照機構之連續性照護需求及其處置要領。 1.To understand the common clinical issues encountered by older adults and be familiar with their physical therapy assessment and management principles. 2.To understand the characteristics of multi-comorbidity in geriatric patients, and to apply the knowledge and skills learned from other courses into the integrated care for older adults, eg., gerontology & successful aging, activities of daily living (ADL) training & application of assistive devices, neurological physical therapy, musculoskeletal physical therapy, and cardio-respiratory physical therapy. 3.To understand the multidisciplinary nature in caring for the elderly. 4.To understand the continuum of care needs for the older adults and be familiar with management principles in different settings.
