Course Overview This course introduces Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and the evidence-to-decision process in policy and industry settings. Drawing on perspectives from pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and health information technology, students learn to appraise and synthesize clinical and economic evidence and translate findings into concise, decision-ready briefs and presentations. Course Objectives By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1. Appraise HTA evidence and sector-specific context using evidence-to-decision frameworks and established reporting standards (e.g., CHEERS 2022). 2. Interpret clinical and economic findings, including outcomes, costs, decision-analytic models, uncertainty, and budget impact. 3. Communicate clear, decision-ready recommendations through concise written briefs and short oral presentations.
No formal prerequisites.
