The purpose of this course is to provide the foundations of HPC. Students are able to understand the concept of HPC, and they can learn how to implement parallel algorithms with different programming models on a variety of hardware architectures. The goal of this course is to give you the foundations for developing, analyzing, and implementing parallel algorithms. We will introduce parallel algorithms theory with hands-on exercises on modern HPC systems, such as OpenMP for multi-cores and CUDA for graphics co-processors (GPUs), and MPI and Hadoop models for distributed memory systems.
(1) Basic ability of C programming
The purpose of this course is to provide the foundations of HPC. Students are able to understand the concept of HPC, and they can learn how to implement parallel algorithms with different programming models on a variety of hardware architectures.
