本堂課程的特定目標如下： 一、建立閱讀微菌叢與人類疾病相關文獻的重要核心能力。 二、建立進行微菌叢相關研究的重要知識與能力。 三、建立在國際期刊發表微菌叢研究成果的能力。 This course is designed for students who are interested in conducting microbiota research and in publishing their work in international scientific journals. The first part of the course introduces microbiota bioinformatics, microbial biochemistry and physiology, and host-pathogen-microbiota interaction. The second part of the course introduces the roles of microbiota in human diseases, such as disorders of the digestive system, cancers, metabolic and dermatological diseases, and autoimmune diseases, and includes a course on Fecal microbiota transplantation and live biotherapeutics products. The specific aims are as follows. 1. Establish foundational knowledge of the microbiota. 2. Develop the essential skills required to conduct microbiota research. 3. Build the capability to publish microbiota research articles in international scientific journals.
歡迎對微菌研究或應用等議題有興趣同學選修。 All students interested in microbiota research are welcome to take this course.
本課程以全英文授課。 This course is taught in English.
課堂出席率、參與課堂討論、以及期末報告，將分別佔學期成績的30%、20%、50%。 Grades are based on attendance (30%), participation (20%), and the final report (50%).
