請參考課表與課程網頁 https://sites.google.com/view/eccentricdentistry/%E6%83%85%E7%B7%92 本課程將從基礎與臨床兩個層面來探討情緒神經科學(Affective Neuroscience)。課程將側重在焦慮或恐懼等「負面情緒」。本課程與一般導論性質的課程不同，在題材的選擇上更側重「情緒」這個議題與其它臨床與行為議題的橫向連結，例如焦慮在牙科治療種扮演的角色，或臨床上老人病患的情緒經驗與年輕成人的不同處，或情緒與決策行為之間的關係。希望藉由修習此課程，同學能更加了解各種負面情緒背後的神經科學機制，以及如何將這些知識落實在臨床工作上。 在情緒神經科學的理論基礎方面，本課程著重於最新腦科學的相關研究，特別將大量引用人腦神經造影(brain neuroimaging)研究文獻。歡迎修讀腦科學與神經科學相關領域的同學們選修。 The primary objective of the course is to provide a general description of the trait and situational factors related to emotional experience, including anxiety and fear, anger and frustration, and pleasure. The course highlights the brain mechanisms underlying individual differences in emotional experience. Specifically, the course highlights the role of evolution in human emotion and focuses on the association between emotion and social interaction, by introducing cutting-edge evidence from brain imaging and clinical studies.

與老師一對一討論(每學期共2次) 第一次討論會在前兩個Module結束後進行，也就是涵蓋第一次到第九次上課的範圍。第二次討論會在後兩個Module結束後進行，也就是涵蓋第十次到第15次的範圍。 同學們討論的表現，會按照A-, A, 與A+三個等第來評估。以下是評估的標準： A-: 在討論中，同學能針對您選擇討論的主題，清楚地表示您的看法。 A: 除了達到A-的要求，同學還能將您的看法，與課程中學到的新的概念或理論作結合。 A+: 除了達到A的要求，同學還能自行查找新的研究證據(例如研究文獻)來佐證您的看法。 Discussion with the teacher (2 times) The first discussion will be held for Module I and Module II (Lesson 1 ~ Lesson 9), and the second discussion will be held for Module III and Module IV (Lesson 10 ~ Lesson 15). Your performance from the discussion will be graded from A-, A, to A+. Here are the criteria for the grading: A-: you can clearly express your opinion regarding the selected topic of the discussion. A: In addition to the criteria for A-, you can well link your opinion to the knowledge (e.g., concepts or theories) that you learn from this course. A+: In addition to the criteria for A, you can further provide experimental evidence (e.g., from literature) to support your opinion on the topic.
