1. to understand food safety from a public health perspective 2. to understand the epidemiological principles 3. to analyze and summarize data in an organized manner and know the basic methods for displaying data 4. to be able to measure the burden of disease 5. to be able to measure the association between exposure and disease 6. to perform food safety risk assessment by applying the concept of epidemiology 7. to preliminary understand the applications of epidemiology in the regulatory agencies
