新陳代謝、癌症與醣化修飾作用

課程概述 本課程介紹癌症與代謝疾病之間的交互關聯，涵蓋代謝恆定與肥胖、癌症的分子機制、基因調控與免疫細胞角色等議題，並延伸至轉譯後修飾在腫瘤進程中的功能。課程最後由學生進行小型英語口頭報告與成果發表，以強化科學溝通能力與批判思維。 課程目標 1. 瞭解代謝調控機制及其失調在肥胖與慢性病中的角色。 2. 掌握癌症的關鍵特徵與癌基因/抑癌基因的功能與失衡。 3. 探討免疫細胞在腫瘤微環境中的角色與影響。 4. 認識轉譯後修飾如何影響癌細胞行為與信號傳導。 5. 培養學生閱讀文獻、整理資訊與以英語進行科學簡報的能力。 Course Description This course explores the intersection between cancer and metabolic diseases, covering topics such as metabolic homeostasis and obesity, the molecular mechanisms and hallmarks of cancer, gene regulation, the role of immune cells in cancer, and post-translational modifications in tumor progression. The course culminates in student oral presentations to enhance scientific communication and critical thinking. Course Objectives 1. Understand mechanisms of metabolic regulation and their roles in obesity and chronic diseases. 2. Learn the hallmarks of cancer and the functions of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. 3. Explore how immune cells contribute to tumor progression and modulation. 4. Examine the impact of post-translational modifications on cancer signaling and cell behavior. 5. Develop students’ skills in literature review, information synthesis, and oral scientific presentation in English.
