This course will focus on the advances, analyses, and applications of biomedical imaging, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound (US), and positron emission tomography (PET), for diagnosis and treatment. The development and application of artificial intelligence in medical imaging will also be introduced. The intended learning outcomes for the participants are listed as follows: (1) Students will be able to describe the current advances and applications of medical imaging for clinical use and study; (2) Students will be able to differentiate and compare the functions of image analysis approaches; (3) Students will be able to apply the concepts and techniques of image analysis to their research.
