The course is designed for students who work with lasers and nonlinear optics or who anticipate working with laser and modern optics in academia or industry. The course emphasizes physical intuitive interpretations of modern optics, including (1) the working principle and operations of lasers, (2) nonlinear phenomena, and (3) laser spectroscopy and microscopy.
