一、Course Introduction: This course delves into the principles, methodologies, and tools necessary for the analysis and design of long-term care systems, equipping students with the skills to assess business needs, develop efficient information systems, and manage the healthcare system development life cycle. By integrating case studies, project-based learning, and technology applications, students will address critical challenges in long-term care, such as resource optimization, sustainable system design, and user-centered approaches. Special topics will focus on leveraging advanced technologies, evaluating system performance, and exploring innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency and user satisfaction. After the course, students are expected to be able to help design, evaluate, and optimize long-term care systems, contributing to improved healthcare delivery and sustainable practices in community or institutional settings. 二、Course Objectives Through participation in the course, the student will be able to: 1. To understand the principles, methodologies, and tools essential for analyzing and designing long-term care systems. 2. To assess business requirements and develop cost-effective information systems for long-term care environments and accreditation indices. 3. To evaluate system efficiency through data analysis and communicate with transdisciplinary teams in long-term care by applying sustainable, user-centered design workflows. 4. To explore innovative approaches and advanced technologies to optimize resource utilization and enhance the quality of care. 5. 一、Course Evaluation and Grading 1. Attendance (20%) 2. Class participation (20%) 3. Midterm poster presentation (30 %) Applying system analysis and design methodologies to evaluate the existing healthcare system (cost, structure, processes, and efficiency) and proposing a better innovative solution. 4. Final oral presentation for integrated long-term care application (30%) Presenting a comprehensive and integrated design for a long-term care application. 二、Presentation format: - Introduction: Overview of the proposed system and identified challenges. - Method (system design): Detailed description of the integrated care model, including structural, technological, and procedural elements. - Implementation report: proof of concept result and future action plans.
