By the end of this course, students will develop advanced academic writing skills through integrated training in style, analytical reasoning, and metacognitive reflection on the nature of writing itself. They will learn to produce clear, well-structured essays by refining key stylistic principles such as conciseness, cohesion, logical transitions, effective modification, and rhetorical emphasis, while constructing sustained arguments supported by carefully selected and critically evaluated evidence. Students will also examine the role of AI in the writing process from both practical and critical perspectives. Rather than treating AI as a substitute for thinking, they will use it as a tool, first for guided practice and revision and later as a source of analytical feedback. They will develop awareness of both the strengths and limitations of AI in writing, while maintaining intellectual ownership, independent judgment, and a distinctive academic voice.
