The course covers the principles of fluid hydraulics and teaches students how to solve engineering problems, including introducing reservoir characteristics, analyzing dam safety forces, designing drainage systems, calculating open-channel flow, estimating flow distribution in pressure pipelines, and understanding hydraulic machinery.
Tests will be scheduled. The material covered on the tests will include handouts, lecture notes, and outside readings, if assigned. 2 Tests (each 35%) 70% Quizzes/Homeworks 10% Final Report 15% Attendance/Attitude 5%
