The main objective of this class is to study the fundamental concepts necessary for designing, using, and implementing database systems. The course stresses the fundamentals of database modeling and design, the languages and facilities provided by database management systems, and system implementation techniques. Emerging database technologies and applications will also be introduced.
Programming skill is mandatory. Python is preferred.
(1) 本課程涵蓋使用程式語言連結資料庫操作，因此Python執行環境與MySQL資料庫在課前需安裝完畢，且學生對Python語法需有基本的認識。 (2) Project 採分組進行，全班分成數組(視修課人數而定)，以網頁結合資料庫，建置一個應用系統，題目及使用工具不限。 (3) 執行 project時，學生要自學網頁開發及資料庫整合實作，課程負擔較重，請修課學生斟酌慎重考量。
