概述

This course develops advanced public speaking and academic presentation skills for graduate students. Emphasis is placed on effective organization, delivery, and audience engagement in academic and professional contexts. Through practice and feedback, students will strengthen their oral communication, critical listening, and confidence in presenting complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

教學方式

a) Attendance and Participation Attendance and active participation are essential for this course. If you are unable to attend a class, please email me before the class begins and provide valid proof of your reason. Missing more than two classes without an appropriate reason will result in a reduced attendance grade. If you are absent more than five times, your overall participation score will also be affected. b) Punctuality Only students present during roll call will be counted as present. If you arrive late, you will be marked absent. c) Responsibility for Missed Work Being absent from class does not excuse you from knowing the assignments or material covered. It is your responsibility to check E3 and obtain handouts or notes from your classmates. d) Late Work and Make-Up Exams No late work or make-up exams will be accepted unless you have requested and received approval for an extension before the deadline. e) Academic Integrity All submitted work must be completed independently. Any form of plagiarism—including copying, using Google Translate, or employing AI tools—is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in a score of zero for the assignment. f) Instructor Discretion The instructor reserves the right to review individual cases and make final decisions in accordance with university policies and fairness principles.
