基於雲端架構之4G/LTE與未來5G之網路和應用

Course Objective This course aims to cultivate elite talent in 5G/6G communication network programming. As the "brain" of telecommunications, the Core Network plays an indispensable role. Developing modern network elements requires a robust command of specialized domain knowledge, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Containerization, and Network Programming. Designed to bridge theory and practice, this course covers a wide array of advanced technologies through a hands-on, step-by-step approach, allowing students to experience the full lifecycle of core network development and application. The curriculum is centered on free5GC, the world-class open-source core network software developed by the Department of Computer Science at NYCU. Notably, on September 16, 2024, free5GC officially joined the Linux Foundation, the global leader in open-source organizations.
