Course Descriptions: Overall, this course is meant to provide an introductory overview to the topics of Organizational Behavior – the study of individual and group behavior in organizational settings. The goal of this course is to familiarize students with current research and practice concerning the people’s cognition and behavior at work. In this course, we will read empirical and theoretical works as well as practical cases that are related to Organizational Behavior. Objectives: 1. To gain broad understanding of field of Organizational Behavior (OB) 2. Identify key OB themes in the workplace 3. Apply key OB theories to work settings

Graduate Students

• Class attendance – Students are expected to attend all class sessions. You are allowed to have TWO absences this semester. If you miss THREE weekly classes, you will be failed in this course. Excused absences should be discussed with the professor in advance whenever possible. If you notify the teaching assistant and provide documentation within a week for illness or personal leave, it will not be counted as absenteeism. • Weekly readings - Students are expected to read all assigned materials before coming to class. • Discussions - Students are expected to be prepared to discuss all assigned readings in class. It is expected that everyone will express their opinion, provide arguments, and respond to each discussion question. I will value and respect everyone's opinion, and I expect everyone else to act in the same manner. We should work hard to build an atmosphere of genuine interest and curiosity where everyone feels compelled to speak their mind.
