This course focuses on reading journal papers and in-class discussions, aiming to help students gain a deeper understanding of issues related to distributed networks and applications, with particular emphasis on collaborative & decentralized and distributed applications. Through carefully selected journal articles, students will learn how to identify research problems, understand methodologies, and critically evaluate contributions and limitations. A final presentation and report will allow students to integrate their reading outcomes and enhance their academic communication skills. In this class, students will learn: 1. Develop reading skills: Learn to effectively read and comprehend international journal papers. 2. The principles, techniques, complete overview, and practices relevant to the design and implementation of distributed Networks and social applications. 3. Learning how to design, implement and evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of distributed algorithms, where distributed algorithms have arisen in a wide spectrum of applications. 4. Foster critical thinking: Compare, analyze, and reflect on different research approaches. Being able to identify features and design decisions that may cause problems, as well as others that cannot be realized by any correct distributed system networks and applications 5. Understand research trends: Gain insights into the latest developments and challenges in distributed networks and applications. 6. Strengthen communication skills: Improve oral presentation and written reporting abilities through the final project. 7. To practice and write academic papers 8. To practice and present papers
