概述

課程概述 本課程系統性介紹分子生物技術的基本原理、實作方法及其在醫藥、診斷、治療與生技產業中的應用。課程內容涵蓋重組DNA技術、蛋白質與核酸治療、分子診斷、基因與細胞治療、疫苗開發、轉殖動植物技術等,並探討其實際應用與未來發展。透過講授與期中考評量,學生將能掌握關鍵技術並建立跨領域整合能力。 課程目標 1. 瞭解重組DNA與分子複製技術的基本操作與應用場域。 2. 掌握原核與真核系統中重組蛋白的生產流程與規模放大策略。 3. 認識分子診斷、蛋白質與核酸治療、免疫療法、疫苗設計的最新進展。 4. 探討基因與細胞治療、轉殖動植物等技術於臨床與產業之潛力。 5. 建立基因體與蛋白質體整合分析的能力,理解生物資訊於現代生技的角色。 6. 培養學生跨領域整合與科技應用的能力,理解分子技術如何解決實際問題。 Course Description This course provides a comprehensive overview of molecular biotechnology, covering the fundamental principles and techniques of recombinant DNA technology, molecular cloning, and their applications in medicine, diagnostics, therapeutics, and the biotech industry. Topics include recombinant protein production, nucleic acid therapeutics, molecular diagnostics, gene and cell therapy, vaccines, and transgenic organisms. Students will gain both theoretical understanding and practical insight through structured lectures and examinations. Course Objectives 1. Understand the fundamentals of recombinant DNA and molecular cloning technologies. 2. Learn the production and scale-up processes for recombinant proteins in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems. 3. Explore current advancements in molecular diagnostics, protein and nucleic acid therapeutics, immunotherapy, and vaccine development. 4. Analyze the principles and applications of gene therapy, cell therapy, and transgenic organisms. 5. Develop competency in integrating genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics in biotechnology. 6. Foster interdisciplinary thinking and apply molecular biotechnology to solve real-world biomedical problems.

課程介紹在學術研究與生技產業中分子治療藥物、疫苗和分子診斷試劑的研究與開發的背景知識、方法和高通量分析技術。講座中將提供蛋白質、抗體和核酸治療藥物、疫苗以及分子診斷技術在癌症、感染疾病、代謝疾病或遺傳疾病中的開發和應用實例。完成本課程後,學生應能夠: 1.展示對生物醫學研究和生物技術行業中使用的一般方法和先進技術的原理和應用的常識 2.展示基因組學,轉錄組學,蛋白質組學和生物信息學的基本知識及其在生物醫學研究中的應用 3.證明蛋白質,抗體和核酸療法在臨床環境中的基本知識和應用 4.展示在不同宿主系統中表達重組蛋白的實用知識 5.展示蛋白質,抗體和核酸療法的生產和應用方面的工作知識 6.展示疫苗開發,生產和應用方面的工作知識 7.展示有關分子診斷技術開發和生產的工作知識 This course will introduce the background knowledge, methodologies, and high-throughput technologies for research and development of molecular therapeutics, vaccines, and molecular diagnosis reagents in academic and biotechnology industry settings. Examples of the development and applications of protein, antibody and nucleic acid therapeutics, vaccines, and molecular diagnostics in cancer, infectious, metabolic, and genetic diseases will be given in the lectures. After completion of this course, the students should be able to: 1.demonstrate a general knowledge of the principle and applications of general methodologies and advanced technologies used in biomedical research and biotechnology industries 2.demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics and their applications in biomedical research 3.demonstrate a basic knowledge and applications of protein, antibody, and nucleic acid therapeutics in clinical settings 4.demonstrate a working knowledge of expression of recombinant proteins in different host systems 5.demonstrate a working knowledge of production and applications of protein, antibody, and nucleic acid therapeutics 6.demonstrate a working knowledge of the development, production, and applications of vaccines 7.demonstrate a working knowledge of the development and production of molecular diagnostics

學生將透過考試與提交的報告進行評分The students will be evaluated by examination and reports 分數計算: 4次期中考平均× 100 ÷ 110 Score Calculation: Average of 4 midterm exams× 100 ÷ 110 ※學期成績加分題: (系主任批改) (繳交期限:12/12 Fri以前) 請參加台灣醫療科技展12/4-12/7/2025,自行選擇有興趣的參展攤位或者參與現場演講共3個,寫下他們的技術平台原理以及如何應用在臨床或是研究等,並且跟攤位合照(有到場證明),故報告應含有3家廠商(或是演講)以及3張照片,有繳交報告者,經系主任批改後,可視情況作為學期成績加分用。 ※Semester Grade Extra Credit: (Graded by the Department Chair) Deadline: Before Friday, 12/12/2025 (Reports must be submitted through the E3 system on the NYCU Portal.) Students may earn extra credit toward their semester grade by attending the 2025 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan (12/4–12/7/2025). Please choose three exhibitor booths or on-site lectures that interest you. For each, write a brief report explaining the principle behind the technology/platform and how it is applied in clinical practice or research. You must also take a photo with each booth or speaker as proof of attendance.
